Amman, Dec. 17 (Petra) -- Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez met with Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Chen Chuandong on Tuesday to discuss Jordanian-Chinese relations and ways to enhance cooperation across economic, political, and parliamentary domains. The discussions, joined by Senate Labor Committee Chair Issa Murad, highlighted both countries' interest in deepening their strategic relationship beyond traditional diplomatic bounds. Al-Fayez pointed to untapped potential in Jordanian-Chinese relations, calling for concrete steps to advance joint ventures across multiple sectors. The talks addressed regional developments, with both officials emphasizing the need for decisive international action to halt the ongoing Israeli war in Gaza. Ambassador Chen highlighted China's support for King Abdullah II's diplomatic initiatives in the region, particularly regarding peace efforts. He outlined China's readiness to work with Jordan on advancing the two-state solution and developing a sustainable framework for regional stability.
