Beirut, Dec. 17 (Petra) – Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati reiterated his call for the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee to address the Israeli violations, noting that Wednesday's meeting of the committee will discuss this issue. During today's regular government meeting, he said: "There is confidence in the seriousness of the measures taken by the army, especially with the beginning of its deployment and the gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory. At the same time, we continue to draw the attention of the Monitoring Committee and the ambassadors we meet with to the need to stop the unacceptable Israeli violations, as the measures taken aim to ensure long-term stability in southern Lebanon." On Wednesday, a meeting of the Monitoring Committee will be held in Naqoura to address all these issues and put an end to the violations. On the ground, a Lebanese security source reported that two people were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the town of Majdal Zoun in the Tyre district, southern Lebanon. //Petra// AF
