37/ Jordan participates in ALECSO forum in Tunis
Tunis, December 17 (Petra) - Jordan recently took part in the First Arab Forum of the Affiliated Schools Networks of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), held at the organization's headquarters in Tunis. In his intervention, Networks National Coordinator in Jordan, Dr. Sultan Khalif, reviewed the experience of Jordanian schools affiliated with UNESCO and ALECSO in achieving "sustainable" development and addressing climate change. Meanwhile Dr. Adnan Badri, ALECSO Chair for Educational Studies and Research at Yarmouk University, highlighted role of international civil society institutions in enhancing environmental resilience and developing climate adaptation strategies in areas affected by water scarcity by harnessing experiences of innovative youth initiatives. Secretary of ALECSO Executive Council, Dr. Murad Mahdudi, said a total of current 364 schools, clubs and chairs are affiliated with ALECSO, including 8 schools and 4 chairs in Jordan. //Petra// AG
