33/ Army, Public Security chiefs oversee Darb Al-Aman drill
Amman, Dec 17 (Petra) -- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, and Public Security Director, Major General Obaidallah Al-Maaytah, Tuesday attended part of the Darb Al-Aman/4 drill at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, in which various ministries and government and civil institutions are taking part. During his tour, Huneiti stressed the need to standardize concepts between the institutions and agencies participating in the exercise to achieve the highest level of efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with various emergencies and crises. For his part, the Public Security head said such national drills are to test the plans in place to determine the readiness of national institutions in dealing with various crises and challenges, and come up with realistic visions for partnership between different agencies. Deputy Head of the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Brigadier General Hatem Al-Zoubi, gave a briefing on the stages of the drill and plans to deal with various crises and emergencies that the Jordanian state may face. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff toured the center's facilities, commending the "distinguished" efforts and professionalism of staff and participants in the drill. Taking part in Darb Al-Aman/4 are the armed forces, security services, various state institutions and the private sector to test national capacities in dealing with crises across the Kingdom. //Petra//SS
