30/ Army, Police Chiefs Oversee Darb al-Aman 4 Crisis Management Drill
Amman, December 17 (Petra) -- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Ahmed Hunaiti and Director of the Public Security Department Major General Obaidallah Maaytah on Tuesday oversaw activities of the "Darb al-Aman 4" drill at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, with participation from various ministries, governmental, and civil institutions. The Darb al-Aman 4 exercise involves the Jordan Armed Forces, security agencies, public institutions, and private sector entities. It is designed to assess national readiness and test capabilities in managing crises and their impacts across different regions of the Kingdom. During the visit, Major General Hunaiti received a briefing on the exercise phases, its scenarios, and response plans prepared to manage potential crises. The center's state-of-the-art monitoring facility, equipped with advanced screens, enables real-time tracking and coordination across implementation sites. Hunaiti emphasized the importance of harmonizing strategies among participating entities to achieve the highest levels of efficiency and effectiveness in crisis response. He stressed the need to objectively simulate real-world scenarios to enhance readiness and ensure swift responses to emergencies.
