Amman, December 17 (Petra) - The Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD) decided to create a technical support department to help registered companies, establishments and individuals join and align with the National Electronic Invoicing System, to sustain their operations.

According to an ISTD statement Tuesday, its Director General, Dr. Hussam Abu Ali, said the newly launched department aims to provide access for eligible companies that do not have an online billing service to use the national system.

The step, he noted, would allow the beneficiaries to join the national e-invoicing network without abandoning their systems in place.

To date, he announced a total of 103, 000 taxpayers have registered in the system.
