Amman, Dec. 16 (Petra) – Italian President Sergio Mattarella stressed the importance of strongly affirming that the true future for Palestine lies in the two-state solution, according to the Italian Republic.

According to the Italian news agency (AKI), Mattarella stated during the 17th Conference of Ambassadors on Monday that "the pursuit of the direct goal of establishing a Palestinian state means offering the goal of justice for the people of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and a convincing prospect of hope for their future. This is an essential condition for also securing a strong final guarantee of their independence."
