4/ Social Development Ministry, IFH Signs Agreement to Enhance Healthcare and Social Services
Amman, Dec. 16 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Social Development and the Institute for Family Health (IFH), part of the King Hussein Foundation, have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing the quality of life for Jordanians through improved healthcare, psychological support, and social services. The agreement, which was signed on Sunday by Minister of Social Development, Wafaa Bani Mustafa, and Ibrahim Aql, Director of the Institute, focuses on delivering essential services in the central and northern regions of the Kingdom. This strategic partnership seeks to address the needs of vulnerable populations, offering comprehensive programs designed to support individuals in overcoming challenges and achieving sustainable development. The collaboration emphasizes the importance of public-private sector cooperation in building a healthier and more resilient society. The five-year agreement includes a wide range of services, such as vision and hearing screenings, physical and occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, special education, psychological support, and empowerment, as well as health, legal, and psychological education initiatives. Additionally, the agreement ensures the provision of tailored services for individuals with disabilities, medical conditions, and mobility challenges. These services will be provided free of charge to beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund and individuals referred by the Ministry, as well as to the broader local community. //Petra// WH
