23/ Jordan Condemns Israeli Settlement Expansion Plans in Occupied Golan
Amman, December 16 (Petra) – The Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs condemned the Israeli government's approval of a plan to expand settlements in the occupied Golan Heights, asserting that such actions solidify the occupation and constitute a blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Qudah underscored the importance of preserving Syria's unity and territorial integrity, reaffirming that the Golan Heights is occupied Arab Syrian land that must be liberated. Qudah said that unilateral Israeli measures are designed to alter the status quo, calling for a decisive international stance to denounce such actions and to compel Israel, as the occupying power, to adhere to international legal obligations. //Petra// AJ
