Amman, Dec. 16 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, met on Monday with a US delegation led by former US Central Command Commander Joseph Votel to discuss enhancing strategic partnerships and addressing regional security challenges.

During the meeting, Huneiti emphasized the importance of unifying international efforts to achieve global security and peace. The discussions highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to strengthen their long-standing military and strategic cooperation.

The US delegation, accompanied by the US defense attaché and senior Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) officers, received a detailed presentation on the modernization initiatives undertaken by the JAF. These initiatives aim to address current and anticipated threats in the region through advanced operational strategies and resource development.

The delegation expressed deep appreciation for Jordan's critical role in promoting regional stability, crediting His Majesty King Abdullah II's leadership and vision in advancing security and cooperation across the Middle East.
