17/ Labor Minister, Japanese envoy discuss cooperation
Amman, Oct 3 (Petra)-- Minister of Labor, Nayef Istitieh, on Monday met with Ambassador of Japan to Jordan, Kaoru Shimazaki, on ways of cooperation and consolidating bilateral relations in areas of common interest and the exchange of expertise and knowledge. The Jordanian-Japanese relations, said Istitieh, have evolved in recent years ad has had positive impacts on various economic, political and service sectors. The Minister of Labor stressed the importance of continuing coordination between the two countries on issues of concern to both sides, especially in the labor and workers sector, in addition to the vocational and technical education and training sector, which has become a key tool of economic and human development and is a major pillar in preparing and qualifying young people to meet the labor market needs. Istitieh lauded the Japanese support to the ministry, stressing the need to develop and strengthen bilateral ties to achieve common interests of both countries. The Japanese envoy commended the level of development and modernization the Kingdom has seen in all fields, expressing his country's desire to develop and enhance relations between the two countries to achieve their common interests. //Petra// AF
