Amman, Oct 2 (Petra) -- The Director of the Public Security Directorate (PSD), Brig Gen Obaidullah Maaytah, and Qatar's Ambassador in Amman Sheikh Saud al-Thani Sunday discussed in Amman strengthening security and police cooperation, especially in training.

Maaytah talked about the Jordanian-Qatari "deep" ties, noting that the PSD is keen to support Qatar during the World Cup 2022, which Qatar is poised to host in November.

Al-Thani, in turn, lauded the PSD and highlighted the level of cooperation between the Jordanian and Qatari police, urging constant efforts to develop bilateral cooperation.

He praised the PSD's support for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
